& RECOMMENDED DOSAGE

AUREOMYCIN CONCENTRATE

This product is about 2 1/2 times stronger than the aureomycin soluble powder. A more economical way to buy the product. 2 Teaspoons/Gallon for treatment. 1. TeaspooW Gallon for preventive for 5-10 days.

AUREOMYCIN-SULMET

A combination of two effective drugs. Effective against cooccidiosis and eflective when you are not sure of an internal infection. 1 Teaspoon/Gallon of water for 5-7 days.

We recommend that NO GRIT is used during treatment with the above "Mycin" products.

ALBON

For the treatment of coccidiosis, fowl cholera and infectious coryza. This is a sulfa based drug, and has an advantage over other sulfa based drugs, as it remains in the blood longer, and in higher concentration.

Dosage: 1 Teaspoon/Gallon for 7 days.

CORID (AMPROLIUM)

The drug of choice by many against coccidiosis, it is highly effective and can be mixed with other drugs.

1 Teaspoon/Gallon of water for 3-5 days.

SULFAQUINOXALIN

A liquid solution for the control of coccidiosis, cholera and typhoid. Mix 1 teaspoon to a gallon of water for 3 to 5 days.

ACIDIFIED COPPER SULFATE

Several claims on the use of this product. Some use it as a preventative for canker by regular use in the drinking water. 1/2 Teaspoon/Gallon of water twice a week. Also used in the bathwater, for getting rid of external parasites. 2 Heaping tablespoons for 3 to 5 gallons of bathwater.

ERY-MYCIN (FORMERLY GALLIMYCIN)

For the treatment of chronic respiratory disease. Also effective against fowl Typhoid, rot to be confused with Paratyphoid. 1/2-1 Teaspoon/Gallon of water for 7-10 days.

NFZ PUFFER

For one eye colds and infections in pigeons. Can also be used on surface wounds, cuts and abrasions.

SULMET (LIQUID)

Sulfamethazine, a sulfa drug. Recommended for the treat ment of various diseases. Cholera, Coccidiosis, Paratyphoid.

1 Tablespoon/Gallon of water for 3-5 days. If necessary repeat a week later.

TYLAN

For hard to get respiratory problems, I.E. and Mycoplasmosis also helps in eliminating the mucus in the mouth.

1 Teaspoon/Gallon for 7-14 days. Works excellent in combination with Aureomycin.

TERRAMYCIN

A water soluble powder used for colds and other associated diseases. 1-2 Teaspoons/Gallon of water for 3-5 days.

TERRAMYCIN EYE OINTMENT

Used for years with excellent results against one eye colds. Apply directly to the eye.

SPARTRIX

For canker, made in Belgium by Janssen Pharmaceutical. Very effective for individual treatment.

Dose 1 Tablet a day for 2-3 days.

APPERTEX

For Coccidiosis in pigeons. Made in Belgium by Janssen Pharmaceutical. Great for individual treatment.

Dose: 1 Tablet per pigeon, repeat monthly.

VETISULID

A sulfa drug, to which most strains of E-Coli are sensitive. Also good for coccidiosis. 2/3 Teaspoon/Gallon of water for 7-10 days.

LS-50 (Lincomycin-Spectinomycin)

Absolutely the best for respiratory disease. A combination of two antibiotics. 3/4 Teaspoon/Gallon of water, for 7-10 days.

WORMERS

IVOMECTIN CATTLE WORMER

The best on the market today. Effective against all worms, except tapeworm. For individual treatment, Dose: 3 drops down the throat, 2 times a year. Even helps against external parasites.

PROPYLENE GLYCOL

This product is used as a carrying agent for Ivomec Cattle wormer. Veterinary test have proven that Ivomec without using Propylene Glycol will quickly move through the pigeon system. Propylene Glycol will stick to the intestines, and mixed with Ivomec it will give ivomec more time to work against worms.

4 parts Propylene Glycol to 1 part Ivomec.

IVOMECTIN SHEEP DRENCH

For flock treatment of worms in pigeons. Very effective against most types of worms. DOSAGE: 6CC to a Gallon of water may be repeated in 10 days, if necessary.

TRAMISOL TABLETS

Very effective against hairworms and roundworms.

Dissolve 2 tablets/gallon of water Give for 1 day and repeat 12 days later

TRAMISOL POWDER

Same as above. Mix 1 Teaspoon/gallon of water Give for 1 day and repeat 12 days later

DISINFECTANT

SANI-LOFT DRESSING

Use this in combination with Sani-Coop Disinfectant to control Salmonella, Coccidiosis, and Paramyxovirus. Spray with Sani Coop, dry with Sani-Loft dressing.

NOLVASAN

For disinfection of lofts, feeders and drinkers. To aid in control of different viruses and bacteria. Used on a regular basis, it will prevent disease in your loft.
DIRECTIONS: 2 tablespoons/gallon for spraying loft and equipment. 1 tablespoon/Gallon in drinking water, once a week.

INSECTICIDES

INSECTRIN GP

Poultry dust, contains Permethrin. Sprinkle on perches, or directly on birds, not harmful.

INSECTRIN X

Insecticide. Same as insectrin E.C. only twice the amount of the main ingredient permethrin. Mix 1/2 oz. per gallon of water for direct application to birds or 1 oz. per gallon of water general loft spraying.

PEST STRIP

This will combat flies, mosquitoes, and other flying ins up to 4 months. Will not harm pigeons. One strip will cover a 1,000 cu. ft. of air space.

HEALTH PRODUCTS

RED CELL

A Vitamin-Iron-Mineral supplement for homes but widely used by pigeon fanciers. It has all the vitamins a pigeon needs, and does not get form his regular diet. Use 1 Teaspoon for 1/2 gallon of water, twice a week.

VITAMINS WITH ELECTROLYTES

A balanced formula for use in feed or drinking water. A nutritional supplement, both for healthy and convalescent birds. 1/2 Teaspoon/gallon of water. Can also be sprinkled over feed. 1 oz. per 1 lb.

VITAMINS & ELECTROLYTES "PLUS"

A water soluble nutritional premix containing vitamins, electrolytes, organic acidifiers and natural microorganisms for use in poultry, pigeons. turkeys and other animals during periods of stress or reduced feed intake. 1 Tsp/Gallon of water.

VITAL

A multi-vitamin, electrolytes and mineral product. Formulated to insure the adequate intake of essential vitamins, electrolytes, and minerals, to stimulate growth and productivity, and combat stress conditions.

WINSMORE

Get your pigeons in top conditibn for racing or showing. Put that shine on their feathers and make them feel silky. You must try WINSMORE.

WHEAT GERM OIL

Great for putting that bloom on me feathers Mix 1 Tablespoon to 1 lb. of grain. Only mix enough for one feeding.

MICRO-MASTER

Micro-Master  is water soluble and contains viable microorganisms beneficial to the pigeon's digestive system. It contains specialized strains of Lactobacillus bacteria. Implanted in the intestional tract, it will aid the digestive process. Recommended to be used after medication or stress.
DIRECTIONS: 1/2 teaspoon/gallon of water for 2 days.

MAGNESIUM BLOCKS

Carbonate of Magnesia. Pigeons love it. Place in loft with grit.

CHARCOAL

An excellent product to add to the grit. Another source for minerals, normally not found in regular diet. This is a medium ground charcoal, and pigeons love it, especially when breeding.

THYSSEN STOMACH GRAVEL

Sharp stomach gravel is only used as a grind stone and must be available to the pigeons. As birds do not have any teeth, their gizzard does the job of softening the food and slowly grinding the food by expanding and contracting movements. For that reason the irregular shaped stomach gravel should be given on a regular basis.

CALCIUM GLUCONATE

The use of this product will prevent calcium deficiency in hens, and will help in the development of smoother and stronger eggs.

Dosage:1 Tablespoon/Gallon 2 x weekly, during the breeding season.

AVIAN STRESS PACK

A nutritional vitamin/electrolyte supplement, used for both healthy or convalescent pigeons that have been under stress from medication or racing.

PARAMYXOVIRUS VACCINE PMV-1 (MAIN LAB)

An absolute must for the concerned fancier. Full instructions enclosed with each bottle.

SAL-BAC PARATYPHOID VACCINE (BIOMUNE)

An absolute must for the prevention of paratyphoid. The best on the market. Available in 50 & 100 doses.

POX VACCINE (MAIN LAB)

Used by many fanciers, and almost a must in the South. This is the brush on type.

LASOTA (PMV Treatment)

This is a live virus that can be mixed in the water for treat ment against PMV. Ideal for those who do not like to vaccinate. This will give the pigeons a short time immunity. Treat ment needs to be repeated after 6-8 weeks. Simply add to the drinking water All they need is one good drink.

AMOXICILLIN (500 mg.)

A very effective and potent way to treat Paratyphoid & E Coli, and also can serve as a general "antibiotic" against a broad range of bacteria.

DOSAGE: 6 caps/gallon of water for 5 days.

COCCI-CURE 2.5 (BAYCOX)

The best product against coccidiosis in pigeons. Mix 4cc to a gallon of water for 2 days only. May repeat after a week.

DO NOT GET ON SKIN.

BAYTRIL (Paratyphoid, E-CoIi, Ornithosis)

Bacterial infections in drug sensitivity test is the first choice in determining which drug your pigeon should be treated, in lieu of that, BAYTRIL is the drug of choice, because it works in most cases against bacterial infections. This product is available in tablets for individual treatment, or liquid for flock treatment.

DOSAGE: Tablet. 1/4 Tablet for 5-7 days, except for Paratyphoid; 1/4 Tablet for 14 days.

Dosage Liquid: 4 CC/Gallon for 5 days, except for Paratyphoid: 4 CC/Gallon for 10 days.

PARA-COLI (ALTABACTINE)

A very effective medication for the treatment of E-Coli and other intestinal problems, and much in demand in Europe. 1 full teaspoon to a 1/2 gallon of water for 5-7 consecutive days.
